I’ve been a fan of Brooklyn-based Slice Magazine ever since the idea was floating around the brilliant minds of Maria Gagliano & Celia Johnson (also know as my friends + zombie editor). Twelve issues later, the magazine has had tremendous success, increasing in circulation and award-winning writers, while also connecting many first-time authors with agents and books deals, bridging the gap between emerging and established authors by offering a space where both are published side-by-side.

I was very happy to be the illustrator for their newest project, In The Telling. This latest installment from Slice is a weekly literary podcast hosted by Tim Mucci and read by various authors. It’s pretty excellent, have a listen!

Nobody does a shift like Tibi. This silk white dress is so gorgeous and a little scary too, but in the good scary sense, like Game of Thrones scary, not Dance Moms scary. I love a white dress but I love one with a bit of variation even more!

In the evening or, if your office blasts the AC as strongly as mine does, this white cotton Theory jacket, on sale for 215 (which is cheap for Theory! And don’t forget Theory lasts forever!) is perfect to throw over your shoulders.

How wild was the #Punk Met Ball this year?! I think Lily Collins’ teen punk-goth mallrat girl goes couture and Aubrey Plaza’s “I just murdered someone whilst wearing a cape dress thing” are my favorites. But I also really love the Siouxsie/new wave vamp look from January Jones (of all people!) and a bunch of models. And of course, Ashley Olson in a “I’m morphing into a dragon right now” dashiki!
